The Parish Council and many Bickerstaffe residents emailed the WLBC Executive Overview and Scrutiny Committee last week asking for the Consultation Period for the new (2020 – 2050) Local Plan to be extended, saying it was too soon and too short as no documentation has been published yet.*

The Committee voted for the Consultation Period to be extended; so it will now run from Friday, October 12th to Thursday, December 13th (9 weeks).

*WLBC will endeavour to have the Local Plan and the majority of supporting documents on the WLBC  website by the end of Thursday, October 4th.
